Disney's Animal Kingdom: An Immersive Experience

It's no secret to anyone I know that Disney's Animal Kingdom (lovingly referred to as DAK) is my favorite Walt Disney World park.
There's much behind this reasoning for me. The most picturesque park, in my humble opinion, it boasts views that are at points, out of this world. I'm looking at you Pandora.

The atmospheric elements of the park, curated by Imagineer Joe Rohde, beautifully blends the concepts of conservation and environmentalism into a living, breathing theme park.

While the park icon of the Tree of Life centers each trip I take with a necessary photo op, there is a little known animal exhibit right at the base of the tree that I love to point out to my fellow adventurers. Next time you are taking a close up of the front of the tree, make sure to look out for some kangaroos, as they are usually hopping about right here. It just goes to show just how focused the theme park is on not only the human experience on their vacation, but also the animal experience on this earth!

A casual theme-park goer will be transported to Asia and Africa in the back half of the park. The attention to detail in these locations are due in part to the extensive research Joe Rohde and his team took in curating these lands during their worldly travels.

It truly is a beautiful thing to be transported to a land that's both familiar and unlike anywhere I've personally been to before. Maybe that's why DAK is my favorite of all the WDW parks, because it gives me a feeling of being at home while exploring a new adventure.
